Library Services

To use library resources through remote access you must use your MasterID user name and library password.

Master ID Username

To obtain your Master ID user name you must first have your WVUID (“700 or 800-number”). To obtain this number, log in here follow the on-screen instructions.

Using your WVUID, you can log in here to find your Master ID user name.

Password

Your password to access library resources consists of the day of your birth (e.g. “20” if your birthday is November 20th), followed by the last four digits of your WVUID.

With this information you can access the full array of WVU library services from your own computer.

Borrowing

To take physical materials out of any of WVU libraries you will need a WVU ID Card which you can obtain in one of two locations on campus:

Mountainlair
Main Floor
Office Hours: Monday through Friday
12:30pm to 4:30pm
(closed in the summer)
