MIX, STAR and Division Listservs

MIX

MIX is WVU’s primary web based communication system. It is a great way to communicate with students in your courses, all of whom are required to use MIX; it is a good idea for you to get familiar with it. If you are computer savvy, you can take advantage of several other tools this system provides to work with your class. 

To gain access to your MIX account visit  here to ascertain your WVU ID number.

Once you have this number, contact the  WVU Office of Information Technology (OIT) Help Desk and ask for your MIX user name and password.

STAR

STAR (available through MIX) is an information system that is used by faculty and students to register for classes, submit grades, check class lists and so on.

Listservs

The School of Social Work has a number of listserves that faculty and students use to communicate. There are listserves for faculty, students, and for each of the off-campus cohorts, respectively.
