In 1995, the MSW program began in Charleston, at the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center. All degree programs offered by the School are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), and our graduates meet the criteria for seeking social work licensure in most states.
The School of Social Work Charleston program supports part-time graduate study, and is designed for individuals who are working full-time and need to attend classes in the evening. Students who have graduated from a baccalaureate program in social work (BSW) accredited by the CSWE may request a review for advanced standing in the MSW program when they apply for admission. Please e-mail Program Coordinator Debra Young at firstname.lastname@example.org for application information.
