Service and Outreach
Social Work Education has a long and proud tradition of service and outreach. All faculty and many students are engaged with community based social service activities as part of their regular teaching, research and service commitments. All social work students must fulfill an internship requirement through a field placement in an existing social service program, where they work under the direction of a professional social worker.
In addition, all undergraduate students must complete requirements for volunteer hours prior to entering the program and after entry.
