BSW Committee

Members: Megan Gandy, Chair; Bekah Dunaway; Savannah Zink; Kris Hash; Megan Fabbri; Challice LaRose

Purpose: To collaborate with the BSW Program Director in ensuring effective BSW Program operations.

Objectives:

  1. Collaborate with the BSW Program Director on ensuring the overall quality of the BSW program.
  2. Collaborate with the BSW Recruitment and Advising Coordinator in developing an inclusive student recruitment plan for growing enrollment in the major.
  3. Collaborate with the BSW Recruitment and Advising Coordinator on review of student applications for admission to the professional sequence/upper division.
  4. Consider revision of professional program admission logistics.
  5. Collaborate with the BSW Online Coordinator in the development of the BSW Online Program.
  6. Consider possibilities for fostering the ethical use of generative AI in educational programming.
  7. Collaborate with the BSW Program Director in responding to student issues and concerns.
  8. Collaborate with the BSW Program Director on program and policy development and implementation.
  9. Collaborate with the BSW Program Director on special programming and events (e.g., diversity week; guest lectures; conferences, etc.) that enhance the academic experience).
