Our work also focuses on gender and sexuality, LGBTQIA+ populations, racial justice, and anti-racism efforts. Faculty explore the intersection of community services and policing, human rights issues, and international social work.
Additionally, faculty conduct research on women’s health, addressing access to care, policy implications, and health equity concerns for marginalized populations. One faculty member directs the WVU Women’s Resource Center to support initiatives promoting reproductive justice and advocacy for women’s health. Research in these areas informs policy changes and promotes inclusive, equitable systems that support diverse populations and advance social justice.
