Savannah Zink, DSW, LICSW

Savannah Zink is a graduate of West Virginia University's Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) programs and earned her Doctor of Social Work (DSW) from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with focused experience serving youth and families involved in West Virginia's foster care system.

Throughout her career, Dr. Zink has provided clinical services to children, adolescents, and families affected by trauma, utilizing evidence-based interventions including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). In addition to her clinical practice, she has collaborated with community agencies, schools, and service providers to connect youth and families with essential resources and supports.

Dr. Zink is passionate about community engagement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and strengthening systems of care for vulnerable populations. Her professional interests include child welfare, trauma-informed practice, family support services, and social work education. Drawing on both her clinical expertise and community-based experience, she is committed to preparing future social workers to be ethical, compassionate, and effective practitioners. As a faculty member at West Virginia University, Dr. Zink is excited to mentor and educate the next generation of social workers as they develop the knowledge, skills, and values needed to create meaningful change in their communities and beyond.
