PhD Committee

Members: Carrie Rishel, Chair; Bridget Bailey; Andrew Irish; Jiyoung Tabone

Purpose: To guide the development of the first-ever PhD program in social work for the state of West Virginia.

Objectives:

  1. Provided approval of the Intent to Plan submitted in summer 2019, proceed with planning a PhD program in social work. 
  2. Collaborate with the SSW Director on funding, personnel, space, and equipment needs for a PhD program in social work.
  3. Develop a plan for new course development and new program development.
  4. Submit new courses and new program documents through the CIM system.
