Faculty Evaluation Committee

Purpose: To provide review of faculty performance for ensuring high quality teaching, research, and service in the School of Social Work.

Objectives:

  1. Revise, and present for faculty approval, the SSW Tenure, Review, and Promotion Guidelines relative to updated language and consistency with University and Eberly guidelines.
  2. Develop, and present for faculty approval, a School of Social Work Workload Guidelines document that is compatible with the ECAS Workload Guidelines document.
  3. Serve as the evaluating body for annual, cumulative pre-promotion, and career evaluations in accordance with SSW and Eberly Faculty Evaluation Guidelines.
  4. Make recommendations based on sound documentation as referenced to material in the Faculty Evaluation File.
  5. Ensure review processes are fair and confidential.
